Level 2 Technical Support (On-Site & Remote)

Seeking a motivated IT professional who possesses an excellent customer service attitude, a degree of creativeness in troubleshooting/problem solving, and is a complete team player. We are looking for a technical guru to join our help desk team in an mid level position to service multiple clients throughout the GTA.

Some high level tasks would include; installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting all PC/server, hardware and equipment to ensure optimal site performance. A competitive salary will be provided to the successful candidate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide on-going operational support including operating systems releases, upgrades, service pack installations, bug fixes, security updates, and any system change activities.
Performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning for customer systems (workstation/server/network)
Supporting smartphones and tablets: configuration support, synchronization support
Troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.
Work occasional evenings, weekends as required
Be a part of the rotational after-hours on call support team
Identify solutions for network security; provide Spyware, Adware and, virus protection.
Provide project support for ad hoc and scheduled technical projects
Some field work to visit clients may be required

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 2 years PC Desktop and Server support experience (Windows, MacOS X, MS Office, Antivirus, VPN, Blackberry, iPhone, Android)
Demonstrated ability of documenting trouble tickets, processes, procedures
Must possess a valid Province of Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License and a clean driving record
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Independent problem-solving and self-directed, requiring minimal daily supervision
Minimum 1 year Windows Systems Administration (Server/Active Directory) experience
Working knowledge of managing file/print services
Working knowledge of Virtual Desktop. VDI and RDS is an asset
Working knowledge of routing, switching and firewalls
Must be able to legally work in Canada

EDUCATION

Minimum 3-year degree in Computer Science / or related field (s)
Preferred candidates will have Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE)
